Papers on Bronson M. Cutting, 1899-1993, (bulk 1910-1936, 1982-1988).

This collection is comprised of Lowitt's notes and photocopies of research materials that he gathered between 1982 and 1988 while conducting research for his book, Bonson M. Cutting : progressive politican. Also included in the collection is the manuscript version of this publication. There is a large amount of photocopied materials from the Bonson M. Cutting Papers. The collection is divided into three series. Series I focuses on Bronson Cutting, his family and his friends. The majority of materials in this series comes from the Bronson M. Cutting Papers, Library of Congress. With only a few exceptions, this series is organized in a basic chronological sequence. Series II contains research files, organized alphabetically, by subject. This section contains photocopies of materials from manuscript collections, predominately not the Bonson M. Cutting Papers, as well as a variety of photocopied publications, portions of publications, theses, and dissertations, with Lowitt's notes and annotations. Series II also contains an assortment of biographical information written about Bronson Cutting. Series I and II include materials on notable people including Mary Hunter Austin, Albert B. Fall, Dennis Chavez, and Miguel A. Otero. Series III contains the edited and annotated manuscript chapters for Bronson M. Cutting : progressive politican by Richard Lowitt.
